Having read the relevant parts of the dragon book and a book by
Zima: "\"Ubersetzerbau" (?), BI-Verlag Mannheim, on these topics,
I find the latter more systematic or easier to understand. However,
it's in german, and whether the algorithms presented there are more
or less efficient compared to the dragon book I don't know (never
bothered). If you need further information feel free to contact me.
